1. Do you provide free estimates? 

Yes. We offer free, no-obligation site visits across Cheshire, Manchester, and Merseyside to assess the work and provide a detailed written quote. 

5. Do I need to move my furniture?

We ask that small items and breakables are removed before we arrive. We can assist with moving larger items of furniture and will always ensure everything is fully protected with professional-grade dust sheets and floor coverings. 

1. How much dust will there be during the sanding process?

We use professional, high-suction extraction systems that are 98% dust-free. While no sanding job is 100% silent or dustless, our equipment ensures that your home remains clean and your air quality is protected. 

3. How long before I can walk on my floors?

You can usually walk on the floors in socks 4 to 6 hours after the final coat is applied. However, we recommend waiting 24 hours before moving furniture back, and at least one week before placing rugs down, to allow the finish to fully cure.

1. What is the difference between standard plastering and L5 Skimming?

Standard plastering covers joints and screws. L5 Skimming is a premium service where we apply a thin coat over the entire wall. This removes all surface imperfections and creates a "mirror-smooth" finish, which is the gold standard for high-end decorating.  

3. Can you plaster over my old "Popcorn" or Artex ceiling?

In most cases, yes. We can safely remove the texture or "over-skim" it to give you a modern, flat, and smooth ceiling. Note: We always assess the age of the Artex to ensure safety before starting. 

1. Do you provide the laminate flooring, or do I need to buy it myself?

We are happy to work either way. We can recommend high-quality, durable brands and supply them at trade prices, or we can provide a "Labour Only" service if you have already purchased your own flooring. 

4. How do you handle uneven floors?

Before laying laminate, we inspect the subfloor. If it is uneven, we can provide self-levelling compounds or ply-boarding to ensure your new floor is perfectly flat and won't "bounce" or creak when walked on. 

1. How do you protect my home during the work?

Protecting your property is our first priority. Before any work begins, we use professional-grade heavy-duty dust sheets, adhesive carpet protectors, and specialized masking tapes to cover your flooring, furniture, and fixtures. We treat your home with the same care we would our own. 

4. What is your "Final Handover" cleaning process?

Once the project is complete, we perform a thorough "deep clean" of the work area. This includes:

• Removing all protective coverings and tapes.

• Vacuuming and mopping floors.

• Wiping down skirting boards, radiators, and window sills to remove any stray dust.

• Leaving your space ready for immediate use.

1. What kind of paints do you use?

We prioritize Low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and water-based paints wherever possible. These are much better for the environment, virtually odourless, and allow you to sleep in your rooms the same day they are painted without harsh chemical smells. 

4. Can you match specific colors?

Yes. Whether it’s a piece of fabric, a high-end designer paint chip, or an existing wall, we use professional colour-matching technology to ensure your new paint or laminate flooring matches your vision perfectly.

1. How do I book a start date?

Once you have received and approved your written quote, we require a 20% deposit to secure your slot in our diary. Once the deposit is received, your start date is officially confirmed. 

5.  How do you handle "hidden" issues found during work?

 If we discover an unexpected issue—such as hidden damp behind wallpaper or a structural problem with a subfloor—we will stop and discuss it with you immediately. We will explain the options and any additional costs before proceeding, so there are never any surprise charges on your final bill.
